At Tortoise Studios (formerly named Tortoise Media Productions), we specialize in recording and mixing your music to perfection. Versed in Rock, Pop, Jazz and instrumental recordings, our in-house staff producer and engineer will assist in making you and your songs sound the best that they can! We LOVE working with Singer/Songwriters here. Record on the latest editions of Pro Tools or Cubase and capture your music in its most pristine state with a choice selection of preamps, compressors and microphones.

Vocalists are well captured here with a wide variety of microphones.

If you’re a keyboard player or electronic musician, we have lots of drum machines along with rack, keyboard and software synths to enhance your sonic palette. Of course, you can also bring in your own!

Guitarists and bassists have a multitude of options: you can use our studio amps (or your own!) to capture the elusive guitar tone that settles in your mind’s eye. Or plug in direct with quality preamps to utilize software amp simulations. Or how about doing both?

Drummers are welcome! Though they rarely darken the halls of our studio, we do have the space and lots of channels for recording drums and percussion. If you’re so inclined, we also have a MIDI drum kit available at your disposal, and it is not unusual to use a hybrid of both acoustic and electronic drums. Contact us to discuss options.
